1. What Personal Information Do We Collect?

a) Personal information you disclose to us directly:

We collect Personal Information that you voluntarily provide to us in a variety of ways. iv) Social Media Login Data. We provide you with the option to register using social media account details, like your, Instagram, X (formerly known as Twitter) or other social media account. If you choose to register in this way, we will collect the Information described in the section called “HOW DO WE HANDLE YOUR SOCIAL LOGINS” below.

    b) Personal Information collected from other sources:

    In addition to Personal Information collected directly from you, we may also obtain your Personal Information from other sources, such as public databases, joint marketing partners, social media platforms (such as Meta), as well as from other third parties. Examples of the information we receive from other sources include, but are not limited to: social media profile information (e.g., your name, gender, birthday, email, current city, state and country, user identification numbers for your contacts, profile picture URL and any other information that you choose to make public); marketing leads and search results and links, including paid listings (e.g., sponsored links), etc..

    We use Personal Information collected via our Services for a variety of business purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, activities designed to:

            iv) Develop new features.

              f) Prevent, detect and fight illegal or unauthorized activities

              i) Address suspected or detected unauthorized and illegal activity on or through websites or apps, such as scraping, spam or fraud;

              ii) Analyze data related to fraudulent activities to prevent against recurrences and design countermeasures; and

              iii) Detect security incidents.

                g) For legal compliance

                i) Enforce or exercise our rights, for example as provided in our Terms of Service; and

                ii) Audit our and our Suppliers’ compliance with applicable law.

                    3. Will Your Personal Information Be Shared With Anyone?

                    Generally, we disclose information, including Personal Information users provide us, to our affiliates, suppliers and other vendors to improve user experiences with websites and apps. More specifically, we may provide personal information we collect to the following entities for the purposes listed.

                    a)With our Suppliers or Vendors

                      Our suppliers help us to operate and improve the websites or apps. Our suppliers support technical processing operations, such as data hosting and maintenance, virtual event hosting, analytics, customer care, securing our data and systems, marketing and detecting and preventing spam and intellectual property infringement.

                      b)With customers, sponsors and advertisers for events or programs

                        We provide our own, or sometimes co-branded, events and promotions with certain customers and we also offer customers the opportunity to sponsor certain aspects of our events or programs. As a part of these events or programs, we request Personal Information for participation and/or registration, and we may share this participation and registration information with the customer. For example, we may share contact information and attendee lists with our event sponsors and advertisers. We may share personal information collected though our events or programs with providers of products and services that we believe will interest participants in the events or programs.

                        c)With order fulfillment vendors

                          We may provide users of our websites and apps with the opportunity to purchase certain goods and services through the websites and apps. We partner with order fulfillment vendors for payment processing and order fulfillment. These vendors will request personal information for us or our users. 

                          d)With advertising technology providers

                            Third-party advertising technology (“Ad Tech”) providers help us to serve and track digital advertisements through the websites, apps and on third-party digital services. Ad Tech providers use cookies and other data collection tools to collect information about a user’s interaction with websites, apps and digital advertisements and combine this information with other sources to deliver digital advertisements about goods and services that are targeted to user interests (as inferred from your online activity). 

                            e) For corporate transactions

                              We may transfer personal information if we are involved, whether in whole or in part, in a merger, sale, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, bankruptcy or other change of ownership or control.

                                  5. How Do We Handle Your Social Media Logins?

                                  Our Services offer you the ability to share an article on your third-party social media account (like your Facebook or X logins). Where you choose to do this, we may receive certain profile information about you from your social media provider. The profile Information we receive may vary depending on the social media provider concerned, but will often include your name, e-mail address, friends list, profile picture as well as other information you choose to make public.

                                        11. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?

                                        California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. Please note that we do not make any such disclosures.
