Sentient was founded to address a glaring blind spot in mainstream coverage — the vast and often invisible impacts of factory farming on animals, the environment, public health and rural communities. Factory farming is one of the most destructive systems on the planet, yet its role in the crises facing our world is still largely out of sight. Our mission is to change that with rigorous, fact-checked journalism that exposes the forces behind this destruction.
